Ideas At The House 2012 In Review

Ideas at the House has had a phenomenal year. We’ve seen people from all over the world come to the Sydney Opera House to challenge, inspire and occasionally enrage us.

During the Festival of Dangerous Ideas, we questioned whether a foetus can rightly be considered a person, were told our workplaces resemble cults, pondered the nature of evil, and were told quite categorically that we are, each and every one of us, perverts.

During the year Michael Pollan taught us how to eat, Simon Callow bought Dickens to life  and we met a legendary Python - Michael Palin, while we also heard about our National Geographic explorers’ close encounters with other types of pythons!

We are so excited about how far we’ve come this year, and even more excited about what’s in store for 2013. Take a look at our trailer for a glimpse of Ideas at the House in 2012, and keep your ear to the ground for what’s to come in the new year.
