TED FELLOW TERU KUWAYAMA TO SPEAK IN SYDNEY

Ann Mossop, Head of Public Programs -

One of the best things about going to the TED Global conference in Edinburgh this year was to see an extraordinary collection of TED Fellows talking about their work.  One that really stuck in my mind was New York photographer Teru Kuwayama.  His photos of Afghanistan were truly beautiful, but also told a story in a very powerful way.  We had planned a session in the Festival of Dangerous Ideas about Afghanistan titled The War in Afghanistan Has Just Begun and the images and his heartfelt introduction to them resonated with this idea.

By coincidence, Saxony have brought Teru Kuwayama to Australia  and are putting on a  talk with him at Sydney Opera House.  He is an amazing photographer and I think that the story of his travels and how he makes his work is going to be just as interesting as the picture.

The talk is on Wednesday 5 December, 6.30-7.30pm in the Utzon Room at Sydney Opera House.  For information and bookings please go to -
