For those lucky enough to get tickets, awe-inspiring futurist Jason Silva gave FODI a huge kick of philosophical espresso with his mind-melting talk, We Are The Gods Now. In case you haven’t checked it out yet, you can watch it below or over on PLAY alongside festival highlights such as Sam Harris’ The Delusion of Free Will and I Share Therefore I Am. Now set to host the latest series of Brain Games for National Geographic, expect to see a helluva lot more of Jason on your screen soon… which according to him may consist of embedding microcomputers onto our eyeballs! (Geeky reference here)
Now before we get into interactive experiments and the inner workings of the human brain, we recommend checking out National Geographic’s own Bear Grylls… wildlife adventurer Mattias Klum. In this third and final installment of National Geographic Live for ’12, Mattias will guide us through his lifelong journey to find earth’s truly last wild places - and just how he came this close to being eaten by a lion, check out a preview below!
